Franceso Mario Possenti

After studies at the Conservatorio di Santa Cecilia in Rome with Sergio Perticaroli, piano, and Teresa Procaccini, Composition, he went on to study with Zoltan Kocsis and György Kurtág at Ferenc Liszt Academy in Budapest.

He played as a soloist for the mayor Concert Halls in Italy as well as with internationally renowned Orchestras. Active also in chamber music ensembles, he has been engaged with the Kodály Quartet, with the violinist Stefan Kamilarov and with the Swedish cellist Thomas Schonberg.

Invited for the first time to perform in Sweden in 2003, he has been returning there since 2004 for concerts and masterclasses as well as in other European Music academies.

Francesco Mario Possenti has been developping researches on Piano Methodology, concerning the use of Improvisation, Music and Movement, Sport as integrated multidisciplinary curriculum for piano training with children.

He is the promoter of the International Music Campus for young pianists in Pollica - Italy (http://www.musicamadeus.it/crbst_16.html) where multidisciplinary curriculum project is constantly developped.

Francesco Mario Possenti is presently appointed by the Conservatorio di Musica “Ottorino Respighi” in the city of Latina, as a piano teacher.

Nach dem Studium am „Conservatorio di Santa Cecilia“ in Rom bei Sergio Perticaroli, Klavier, und Teresa Procaccini, Komposition, studierte er mit Zoltan Kocsis und György Kurtág an der „Ferenc Liszt Academy“ in Budapest weiter.

Er spielte als Solist für große Konzerthäuser in ganz Italien und mit international renommierten Orchestern. Außerdem ist er in Kammermusikensembles aktiv gewesen, unter anderem im Kodály Quartett, mit dem Violinisten Stefan Kamilarov und dem Cellisten Thomas Schonberg.

Regelmäßig gastiert er mit Konzerten und Meisterklassen, Vorträgen und Vorlesungen in Schweden und anderen europäischen Musikakademien.

Francesco Mario Possenti hat verschiedene Untersuchungen zum Thema Pianomethodik entwickelt: Thema war ein integriertes multidisziplinäres Curriculum mit dem Einsatz von Improvisation, Musik und Bewegung, Sport für das Klavierlernen im Kindesalter.

Er ist der Förderer vom International Music Campus für junge Pianisten in Pollica (Italien) , wo ein multidisziplinäres Curriculum Projekt stetig entwickelt wird.

Momentan ist Francesco Mario Possenti am Conservatorio di Musica „Ottorino Respighi“ in Latina als Klavierlehrer beschäftigt.
