Prof. Dr. Lee Higgins

Lee Higgins ist Professor an der York St John University, UK, und Direktor des International Centre of Community Music. Er promovierte an der Irish World Academy of Music and Dance in Limerick, Irland. Als Referent und Gastredner hat er auf vier Kontinenten in Universitäten, Schulen und NGOs gearbeitet und war von 2016 bis 2018 Präsident der International Society of Music Education. Er war Chefredakteur des International Journal of Community Music (2007-2021), Autor von Community Music: In Theory and in Practice (2012, OUP) und Thinking Community Music (2024, OUP), Co-Autor von Engagement in Community Music (2017, Routledge) und Mitherausgeber von The Oxford Handbook of Community Music (2018).
